About
Moon Landing
The AXIS MUNDI
In our center dwells the archetype of the Axis Mundi, the spiraling, sacred line between Heaven and Earth. Human beings have oriented to this divine line to delineate sacredness in the land, homes, temples and in their bodies.
Wisdom rises on this line between Earth and Sky.
The Axis Mundi is a conceptual framework that grounds the diversity of Moon Landings’ offerings, which draw from modern science, ancient wisdom, visionary practices, the natural world, the human lifecycle, Somatic Experiencing®, the Yoga tradition, and Chinese Traditional Medicine.
At Moon Landing, we get curious about what happens when we embody the Axis Mundi. We meditate with it, dance with it, and draw with it. We center our being in sacredness, right here, inside ourselves, right now, in our hearts.
Land in an expansive state by traveling to your universal depth, within your very being
Imagine the Earthen Womb,
fertile intuition,
the divine feminine,
channeling creative energy into infinite forms.

Now Picture the sky
its clear open space
the divine masculine
energy, movement,
consciousness,
enlivening every breath.
Landing on the Moon
Along the Axis Mundi, human life cycles through spirals of expansion and contraction.
Our experience of the journey from wise contraction to wise expansion begins first by becoming conscious of our reality, then realizing our essential goodness. We seek learning to be empowered by our desires, to follow our joy, and stand with our whole being in right-relationship to our situation.
We rise on this spiral.
Often this state of wholeness is likened to the Full Moon, phasing out of the shadow and into the full light of being. We land on the moon each moment wisdom rises to open our hearts into expanded vision, different perspectives and clear right action.
Teachings and teachers can only point to the path and describe the journey. We have to practice, and land on the moon ourselves.
The AXIS MUNDI
The Axis Mundi is a conceptual framework that grounds the diversity of Moon Landings’ offerings, which draw from modern science, ancient wisdom, visionary practices, the natural world, the human lifecycle, Somatic Experiencing, the Yoga tradition and Chinese Traditional Medicine.
At Moon Landing we teach people to embody the Axis Mundi. We meditate with it, dance with it, and draw with it. We center our being in sacredness, right here, inside ourselves, right now, in our hearts.
Healing Arts Hub
Our Healing Arts Hub is inspired by Earth energy, the origin of the Axis. Here, we commit to centering practices in our daily lives, teaching people to live with more choice and less reactivity. Our goal is to empower you with ready access to wisdom in the natural instincts of your body, to listen deeply to your inner compass and highest selves.
The CONSCIOUS DESIGN LAB
Our Conscious Design Lab, whose muse is the Sky, invents artistic, multimedia and multidimensional products that you bring to life. These designs visually climb the Axis Mundi like rungs on a ladder. They gather diverse voices of many healers and wisdom holders to be shared in innovative and inclusive ways.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Ingrid Peterson and Shannon Bronson have supported each other in deep friendship and in sharing their respective healing gifts for half a decade.
Moon Landing is a calling for us both and our offering to share the relief we felt in finding places of refuge and creativity in our inner worlds.
We’d like to spread the joy in connecting meaningfully with nature and other self-reflective human beings who do the work.
We want to talk about the power in having a relationship with your creative center, which once established is wholly yours.
2020 brought a dark winter and forced a collective contraction. We felt that in our lives. With our outer worlds suspended in chaos and daily uncertainty, our refuge was our inner world. Within our inner worlds, universal archetypes, like the Axis Mundi, became personal pillars of strength.
We experimented with our crafts and found some days they were what got us through the day and others, we create self-generated joy and discovery.
We helped each other by sharing these practices, and talking about what it was like. It was healing.
As we expanded, we felt drawn to share our process and explore universal images and experiences with our community.
Starting where we are, our Northstar is to build a place and processes informed by artisans, designers, healers and infused with an abundant art spirit dedicated to helping people create conditions for wisdom to arise in their lives.
Taken together, Moon Landings’ practice gives us a Sky-like vision for your life that is grounded in your embodied knowing. We constructively challenge your contracted assumptions of who you are while listening respectfully to the wisdom of your body so you can expand to expand and discern which step is your next best step forward, one foot at a time.
Step by step, the tools shared at Moon Landing open your hearts to universal consciousness until your steps begin to dance with these spirals of being.
“I am a finger pointing to the moon.
Don’t look at me,
look at the moon”

Ingrid is an Oakland-based, licensed acupuncturist with a passion for treating the diseases brought on by stress, over-stimulation, and modern life. She uses the healing modalities of acupuncture, healing touch, mindfulness, herbs and supplements, and a nourishing diet to help people find their way back on to the middle path. Chinese medicine is all about finding the areas of life out of harmony and moving towards balance. Step, step, step, and soon you are dancing!
Ingrid is a detective. Like any good detective, she has different ways to look at the same problem, which helps her diagnose and treat more effectively. She uses the cutting edge diagnostic tools of western functional medicine and its valuable lab tests as well as traditional Chinese diagnosis.
Ingrid is an artist. She’s an acupuncturist, but within that container there is an artist alive and well. She believes creativity energizes and enlivens us, and expression in some form is important for being a vibrant human. She loves to paint, doodle and create big colorful messes in the kitchen. Her patients benefit from her art spirit because finding a way to health takes creativity. She helps them paint the picture of a brighter health vision, and can be creative about all the ways to get there.
